Swimmers have a high incidence of rotator/shoulder injuries due to the high volume of training, and are candidates for decreased bone density.Year round (not just off-season) dryland training is important to increase musculoskeletal strength, and reduce shoulder injuries. Through resistance training, bone density will be built while also improving daily performance as well as sport specific performance.
